After having our first child, we realized that we wanted our lives to reflect what we value. We wanted her to know where her food comes from and that animals should be well cared for. Our journey started with a simple garden in the front yard and planting a few blueberry bushes. I gave Vasek a six-month beekeeping course at a local farm for Christmas and he fell in love with all things bee related. He also met our mentor and dear friend Cyndi Ball from Lazy B Farm who encouraged us to pursue other sustainable practices.
Before long, we had baby chicks that quickly turned into laying hens. I finally got to fulfill a lifelong dream of having my own dairy goat. We also started raising our own meat chickens. Along the way, we've met lots of other homesteaders also on this journey of sustainability. We've been lucky enough to partner with these great folks to provide you with some incredible products. I also began exploring how to create chemical-free skincare products for myself and others. We make deodorant, facial cleanser, tooth powder, and will soon expand into a completely local brand of soap.
